One of the cool things about living in Utah is that you’re never too far from wildly different terrain. You can hit the slopes in the morning, then drive an hour and hit 18 holes in the afternoon. The Jeep Renegade is the perfect ride to go both places and everywhere in-between. We got our hands on a 2019 Jeep Renegade Altitude for a few hours the other day and headed out towards the Great Salt Lake. The Renegade’s 2.4 liter I4 gave us plenty of power on the open road, and the Selec-Terrain system easily handled the off-road. One of the features I really liked was the 40/20/40 back seat with pass-through. As someone who tends to haul a lot of gear, it’s nice to have access to storage without leaving the car. Other perks include an electric parking brake, lane departure warnings, locking glove box, and a 9-speaker Beats sound system and 500w amp that packed plenty of boom. As with many Jeeps, you can customize the interior and exterior to your heart’s content. The Renegade has a 12.7 gallon fuel tank, and gets an EPA estimated 21mpg city, and 29 highway. The 1.3 liter turbo version bumps those number up to 24/32. For the next little bit, you may be able to pick up one of these Renegades in a low-payment lease, or a 0% financing deal. There are lots of incentives out there right now. To take the Jeep Renegade Altitude for a spin, head over to Ken Garff Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat in West Valley.
