Shortly after SeaTac’s drone light show began over Angle Lake on the evening of July 4, they started dropping out of the sky. The city said 55 of 200 drones owned by the Great Lakes Drone Company, of Coloma, Michigan, were lost. It was a costly mishap: SeaTac paid $40,000 for the show and the drones are valued at $2,600 each. The accident is under investigation. (Courtesy Matt Markovich)
