Good Samaritan Saves Man From Bridge Jump

This is the dramatic moment a Good Samaritan spots a man attempting to jump off a bridge - and without hesitation gets out his car to heroically pull him back from the edge. John Graham and wife Kayla were driving across the Gervais Street Bridge in Columbia, South Carolina, on September 14, when traffic came to a sudden halt. As John maneuvered the traffic, looking back Kayla spotted a shirtless man stepping out one of the other vehicles and heading towards the bridge. John looked in his rearview mirror and told Kayla he couldn’t let him jump and that he had to help him, before u-turning and hopping out his car. In the tense clip, as he cautiously approaches the man, John can be seen engaging with him in an effort to get his attention, talking to try and persuade him to get him down from the ledge. A police officer soon approaches the scene, and as he starts to engage with the man John seizes his opportunity and grabs the man tightly before pulling him back to the sidewalk. He is helped by the officer and another passerby before more police officers arrive on the scene and quickly control the situation.
