Clayton James Kearl served aboard the U.S.S. Salt Lake City during World War II. The cruiser saw more action than any other ship in the U.S. Navy during the war. Kearl not only witnessed history, he helped make it. Upholding Valor focuses on men and women from all backgrounds and eras of military service.
