A man has brought smiles to faces on the Internet after sharing videos of his three-year-long friendship with a neighborhood squirrel who will often walk him home and wait for a treat. In the wholesome videos, shared by Trey Dees of Fayetteville, North Carolina, the squirrel can be seen running alongside Trey as he walks to his front door, sometimes for minutes at time. When he then reaches his house, Trey will treat the squirrel to a bunch of nuts – a friendship that first started in 2019, when he shared some almonds with the cute critter. According to Trey, his mom had dropped his children off one summer day and the squirrel came up to them. Trey headed inside to get the creature – nicknamed Greg and Squirrely by the family – some almonds, and from that day on Greg kept looking out for him.
