Breathtaking video has captured an adventurer scaling the highest peak of a glacier volcano known as the ‘Godrock’. The stunning Goðasteinn is the highest point of the 5,417ft Eyjafjallajökull glacier in Iceland, an active volcano that erupted as recently as 2010. Intrepid Olafur M Björnsson journeyed to the glacier with his son, Tomas Andri, 14, on March 11 to capture this sublime aerial footage. Olafur, an Icelandic ophthalmologist, filmed the spectacular shots as Tomas scaled the volcano, completely covered by the ice cap which extends across an area of about 100 sq kilometres.
