This is the spectacular sight of a vibrant red moonrise slowly creeping up from behind the stunning New York City skyline. Video shot by professional photographer Peter Alessandria - a former Entertainment lawyer turned snapper - shows the giant moon coming into view behind the iconic Freedom Tower. The New Jersey resident captured the time-lapse of Lower Manhattan’s skyline form an incredible 24 miles away in North Central New Jersey. In total Peter captured a series of rapid fire images over eight minutes, which when threaded together create the seamless video.
