First minister Nicola Sturgeon delighted a group of children by showing off her football skills during a visit to a nursery school in Stirlingshire. The SNP leader was there to promote the launch of new initiatives aiming to reduce any of the effects the pandemic lockdowns have had on early years and childhood development in Scotland, but was overshadowed by questions about whether Boris Johnson refusing to meet her on his two visit to Scotland was a snub for the first minister.
