Uber Customer Hit With Huge Bill After Getting Stuck On I-95

A man from Richmond, Virginia, was hit with a $600 bill after his Uber got stranded on I-95. Andrew Peters flew in from San Francisco, unaware of the chaos the icy conditions had caused on the I-95. Unfortunately for him, neither did his Uber driver, who went on the highway and got stuck in the chaos. Peters says it took him nine hours to get from Dulles International Airport to his home in Richmond. Peters paid the initial $200 Uber bill. However, the company then added an additional $400 in charges. Peters is disputing the charge despite knowing it will probably mean he is banned from using the service. "I’ll probably be banned from Uber but, you know, whatever," Andrew Peters.
