A high-schooler has captured the reactions of people as they are unexpectedly told they’re beautiful as part of a social experiment. Olivia Brockhoff, 16, created the video as part of her communications media class - and the results included smiles, laughs and even tears. With such beautifully raw reactions, Olivia said she learned just how far a small complement can go in brightening someone’s day. Throughout the video, the teen can be seen setting up what the individuals - predominantly her teenage peers and a few teachers - think are run-of-the-mill piece-to-camera shots. Suddenly, though, Olivia would tell the person that they are beautiful, creating a collection of reactions that she hopes will spread positivity and kindness. Olivia filmed the project at Holy Rosary High School in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada, over two days in November, and when she posted it on social media, the video garnered a huge wave of support.
