Blue Origin has announced that Good Morning America host Michael Strahan will be on board its next New Shepard flight. Strahan will be joined by Laura Shepard Churchley, whose father Alan Shepard was the first American in space. Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket system is named after Alan Shepard, who went on to walk on the moon in 1971. There will also be four paying customers on the flight. Strahan and Shepard will be “honorary guests”, meaning they have not paid for their tickets. Strahan is a former professional football player who spent 15 seasons with the New York Giants. The flight is expected to take place on December 9 from Blue Origin’s launch facility in Texas
