In the amusing footage from Spring, Texas - where the average high is above 87F (30C) from May to September - clever puss Scar Kitty laps away at a garden sprinkler's water. Owner Alida Kinkaid, 51, said she noticed Scar’s unique approach as she walked around her yard on July 15. She said since the family recently replaced their sprinkler heads, Scar has opted to drink fresh water straight from the sprinklers, rather than opt for his bowl. Given her cat's unusual approach, Alida decided to film the moment to share with friends and family.
