Kind Neighbor Disinfects Trash Can For Woman With Leukemia

A woman with leukemia captured the heartwarming moment she peered out her window to see her kind neighbor returning her trash cans and disinfecting them. Isolating because she is immunocompromised, Tamara Wells, 58, was feeling extremely down, until on April 13, she peered out her window to see neighbor Bill Rainey heading up the drive. In the wholesome footage, shot through Tamara’s blinds in Middletown, Ohio, Bill, 72, returns Tamara’s trash can - only to then pull out a bottle of disinfectant and start wiping it down. Tamara said Bill knew of her diagnosis, but she had no idea he had been disinfecting her items like this without her knowing. Having been suffering from anxiety because of isolation, Tamara revealed a sense of calm immediately came over her, remembering there are still good people in the world. Tamara added Bill is a humble neighbor and would not look for any praise for his positive actions, but Tamara wanted to share the love, and so, from inside her home, she posted the video on social media - receiving thousands of likes and shares online. Tamara was diagnosed with leukemia in March 2017, and a week later, she joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Since then, her fundraising team, TamiJo’s Tribe, has raise more than $40,000 for the society and its work.
