Every year, Nancy Correa, 32, who lives in Vallejo, California, travels to visit her grandmother Maria Regina, 86, in Mexico. But her brothers Eugene, 30, and Ezequiel, 15, hadn’t seen their grandmother for six years as she could not travel to the U.S. Nancy never reveals to Maria, who lives with and is inseparable from her sister Maria Guadalupe, 87, when she will visit to surprise her. But on April 7, 2023, she had an extra surprise in store when she traveled to Capilla de Guadalupe in Jalisco with her brothers.
