A family of a boy with epilepsy and cerebral palsy have shared the wholesome moment their son used a specially-adapted board to surf for the first time. Silas Brown, 10, couldn't stop smiling as volunteers assisted him through the waters at Gooches Beach in Kennebunk, Maine. His mom, Melly Brown, 33, only recently shared the 2019 moment on her Instagram, hoping to inspire others that sports such as surfing can be inclusive. Melly's post about the day - which was set up as part of Epilepsy New Englands "Purple Camp" - received an outpouring of positive comments from across the world.
