SpaceX To Launch Four Space Tourists

Today, four tourists join the Inspiration 4 mission on the 200-foot-tall SpaceX rocket. It is the first orbital mission in the history of spaceflight to be staffed by tourists. The launch will occur between 8:02 p.m. and 1:02 a.m ET at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Brevard County, Florida. The three-day journey will travel up to 17,500 miles per hour and go around the planet once every 90 minutes while the passengers float in microgravity. The spacecraft is planned for re-entry off the coast of Florida. Passengers will share a zero-gravity toilet and sleep in the reclining seats also required during launch.
