A third-grade teacher is making sure her new class aim HIGH – by filming a welcome message they’ll never forget while skydiving out of a plane and reading a story to them. Thrill seeker Rebecca Muir, 28, from Virginia Beach, has been skydiving for five years, and at the start of every school year she sends her new class a welcome video to get them excited for the year ahead. This year, Rebecca thought, why not combine her two passions of skydiving and teaching into one extreme welcome video? Rebecca headed to Skydive Paraclete XP in Raeford, North Carolina, where she jumped from a plane, pulled a book, "A Letter From Your Teacher," from her fanny pack, reading it aloud during her descent. Everything worked out perfectly, Rebecca said, completing the book before finishing her 13,000ft jump. Rebecca teaches at Georgetown Primary, which is overseen by Chesapeake Public Schools in Virginia. After recording the video on August 26, she shared an edited version on her social media channels and forwarded it to her new students via email. **Please note additional licenses may be required for use of trademarks, logos, or illustrations featured within the book in this video.
