A beloved mom who moved to the U.S. for a better life was surprised with a painting of her late parents who passed away just after she left featuring the great grandson they never met. Juliet Garcia, 44, could not hide her emotions when her son, Arian, 25, and his partner Jessica Trujillo, 22, presented her with the loving gift. The painting featured both of Juliet’s parents, Osvaldo and Mercedes, as well as her grandson, Samuel, Arian and Jessica’s son. Juliet left Cuba 13 years ago, searching for a better life for her and Arian, in Florida. Ever since she has known Juliet, Jessica said she would retell stories about how wonderful her parents were, how much she missed them and how she'd never gotten a chance to say a proper goodbye. Jessica and Arian came up with the idea for the portrait because Arian knew how much his mom would have liked her parents to have met Samuel. After ordering from Paint Your Life, a company specializing in personalized portraits, Jessica and Arian presented Juliet with the gift on May 18 recorded on Jessica’s cellphone.
