A video has captured the moment a wallaby took a dip to escape the fierce Australian summer heat. The unusual sighting shows the young wallaby dive into the water at the mouth of an estuary in New South Wales, Australia, before propelling itself along using its tail. While wallabies and their close cousins Kangaroos are famous for their hop, they do also enjoy the occasional swim. Even stranger, though, is how they swim – using their strong tails to push them through the water. Nick Holton, an English ex-pat living in Sydney, captured the video footage while on a recent camping trip to The Basin in New South Wales.
