Military Man Mobbed By Dog Upon Return From Deployment

A soldier's beloved dog could not hide its excitement when his owner returned home after a 10-month-long deployment. Out of all of his family members, George Davis is pooch Valentino Chanel's favorite, given that Valentino would always run to the garage door whenever George would rerun home from work. Valentino also has a dedicated stoop that he would sit on and wait for his owner, and he would always know George’s car when it returned home. But with the pair spending nearly a year apart, mom Stacy Davis knew that she needed to record 11-year-old Valentino – named because the Davis family got him on Valentine's Day – was finally able to reunite with his owner. George is an E6 staff sergeant with the 196th MPAD (mobile public affairs detachment) for the Ohio Army National Guard, based in Columbus. When he walked through the front door on January 26, Valentino, a toy Poodle mix who was rescued from a shelter, immediately began barking, hopping with joy and licking his owner's face.
