This is the moment a boy sees the vivid beauty of nature for the first time - thanks to glasses that correct his colour-blindness. EJ Denny, 11, had always thought nature was brown and dark, having never been able to see the beautiful greens of trees, plants and other fauna because he was red-green colorblind. But, after his mom Tracy commented on the lovely color of the trees as they were driving through a scenic back road, and EJ replied, “They’re green? They all look brown to me”, she realised that her son was missing out on something special. Determined to help him experience nature in all its glory for himself, Tracy and her husband Earl decided to put some of their savings towards a pair of specialist glasses that help correct the color imbalances. And EJ’s emotional reaction to seeing the real beauty of nature for the first time brought a tear to all his family’s eyes.
