Rihanna Declared National Hero Of Barbados

Rihanna has been declared a national hero of Barbados as the Caribbean island celebrates becoming a republic. Rihanna, who grew up in Barbados, was present during the historic ceremony which saw the country break its ties with the British monarchy. Prime Minister Mia Mottley said her government recommended that the singer be made a member of the Order of National Heroes. Prince Charles was also present at the ceremony, he said that he will always consider himself a “friend of Barbados”.
