Girl Walks Red Carpet Guard Of Honor Before Revealing New Smile

A teen who hid her smile throughout childhood couldn’t hold back the happy tears as she was given a guard of honor at her orthodontics before revealing her new smile. Nevelyn “Neve” Knudson, 16, had been embarrassed of her smile since she was a young child and developed a habit of never showing her teeth when smiling or in photos. Her mom said Neve fell and broke her front tooth when she was six which forced it into growing crooked. In November 2019, Neve got braces with Dr. Grant Collins at Collins Orthodontics in Rochester, Minnesota. And after two and a half years of wearing braces, she was given the news they could finally be removed on May 17. Following the procedure, Dr. Collins and his team lined the corridor and clapped Neve as she walked down a red carpet and headed towards a mirror on the far wall. There, Neve stopped before revealing her new smile, causing her to break into tears - with her mom on hand for a hug followed by Dr. Collins.
