Daughter Upcycles Mom's Wedding Dress For Big Day Reveal

A mom cried tears of happiness at her daughter’s wedding ceremony as she arrived wearing her mom’s wedding dress she had specially upcycled. Daniella Luiz from Linden, New Jersey, was asked by her mom Lynda if she wanted to wear her wedding dress as it had been sitting at home for years. After Daniella was told she could incorporate the dress in any way she wanted, she contacted a family-friend dressmaker, Yina Elejalde, to help redesign and upcycle the wedding dress. After four to five dress fittings, the dress had only a few changes to modernize it and it was ready for the big day. As it approached the wedding day, Lynda would ask what the plan for the dress was, but Danielle saved the surprise by pretending she only wanted to display the dress at the wedding. Instead, at the August 13 wedding, she wore her own wedding dress up until the wedding ceremony where she quickly got changed and slipped into her mom’s upcycled dress. Lynda was invited onto the dance floor as Danielle walks out in the dress to surprise her – and as soon as she saw her daughter in her wedding dress she began to cry with happiness.
