Mom "Emotional Wreck" When Marine Son Returns Home After Eight Months

A U.S. Marine turned his parents into "emotional wrecks" when returning home to surprise them after more than eight months apart. Alejandro, 19, from Lubbock, Texas, is extremely close to his mom, Maria, and his father, Alberto, being the youngest of their children and the "baby" of the family. Due to this bond, the family found Alejandro's time away with the United States Marine Corps tough, as he started out being based in San Diego, before being transferred to Missouri. When Alejandro received the news he could finally return home after being away for the best part of a year, he liaised with his sister, Teresa, 32, to plan a big surprise. On September 13, Alejandro, a Private First Class, walked into his parents' home, where Maria, 54, was the first person to lay eyes on her son. As soon as she did, the proud mom turned into an "emotional wreck," Teresa said, which is exactly what she had expected. Maria then headed towards her son for a tear-filled hug, before it was then time to surprise Alberto, 57, who was outside.
