A day after Tatas officially took over Air India, all flyers in the flights today are in for a surprise. From a special in-flight announcement, to smartly groomed cabin crew and new meal menu, the flyers will get a world-class experience as promised by the Tatas. In an order, the operations department told the airline's pilots to make a specific announcement after door closure on every flight. The announcement will be read as "Dear Guests, This is your Captain (Name) speaking...Welcome aboard this historic flight, which marks a special event." "Today, Air India officially becomes a part of the Tata Group again, after seven decades. We look forward to serving you on this and every Air India flight with renewed commitment and passion." Special preference is also being given to on-time performance. The Air India crew members will now have to assure that the doors are closed 10 minutes before the flight's departure.
