A retiring police officer struggled to hold back his tears as his daughter signed him off for the last time before his retirement. Mike Gross, 43, a sergeant with the Fort Mitchell Police Department in Kentucky, retired from the force after 20 years of service on November 30. But on the other end of the line was Mike's daughter, Kylie Gross, 22, who had wanted to be a part of her father's special day. All officers get a special last sign-off with some nice words about them, Mike said, and so the family asked if Kylie could head to the dispatch center to do this. But little did Mike know how emotional he would get - as Kylie started listing off her father's achievements, Mike could visibly be seen holding back tears. Those feelings only rose when Kyle completed her sign-off: "You have always been my hero, and I love you to the moon and back, Daddy."
