Galena Park, TX - Tragedy struck a Galena Park residence on Saturday night when four individuals were found dead from gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on February 18, 2023, at a residence located in the 2000 block of 2nd Street in Galena Park. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, three of the victims were teenagers, with the oldest one being 19 years old and pregnant at the time of the shooting. The suspect, who is not related to any of the victims, had a relationship with the mother of the teenager. The mother was not at home at the time of the shooting. A 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and was able to escape according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. She was able to rescue a one-year-old child that was also in the residence at the time of the incident. Both were taken to a local hospital.
