A determined giant anteater refused to become an easy meal for a hungry jaguar - putting up a brave fight before scaring off the large cat. In the stunning footage, captured from extremely close range, the giant anteater can be seen standing tall in the face of adversity, holding off the jaguar with its giant claws. The scene played out for almost five minutes, with the jaguar trying its best to outmaneuver the creature, partaking in a roaring match but to no avail. Staff at Oncafari, a conservation group, captured the amazing moment in Pantanal (the largest wetland in the world), at the Caiman Ecological Refuge, in Brazil, on April 24. According to Mario Haberfeld, the founder of Oncafari, a group had been following a jaguar name Natureza when they then came across the giant anteater. Standing just 45ft away from the action, staff member Mario Nelson Cleto Rodrigues and others filmed as the tussle unfolded.
