A mom-of-five who spent 41 years waiting for a hug from her dad finally embraces him after decades of searching for him. Connie Nisbet, 43, from Rosedale in British Columbia, Canada, dreamed of being held in the arms of long-lost father Billy Duncan Nisbet, 73, ever since he left when she was just two-years-old. Throughout her life she could only imagine where Billy was after he and her mom, Rhodea Jansen, parted ways and he followed his dreams of becoming a professional country singer. As a child she constantly asked where he was and tried everything from calling every Nisbet in the phonebook and trying to track him down online without any success. She had nearly given-up all hope of ever being reunited with him earlier this year, when her partner Hughie’s father passed away and she knew she had to try again, this time posting in a Facebook group for lost family members in April. Within nine-hours searchers found a man they believed to Billy and after sending him a message she was finally talking to her dad - little did she know all this time he had been looking for her too. On July 17, they met face-to-face for the first time since they last saw one another in Hamilton, Ontario, and they cuddled in a lengthy hug that Connie said she ‘never wanted to let go’ from.
