Stunning drone footage has captured a secret wonder called Gandikota - nicknamed the Hidden Grand Canyon of India. With its rocky landscape the spellbinding natural wonder is a miniature look-alike of the famous Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. The almost forgotten gorge of Gandikota is situated in Andhra Pradesh, with its mesmerizing beauty carved by the Pennar River which flows at its foot. Formed between the Erramala range of hills, the massive canyon is a spectacular group of red granite rocks, cut and layered similar to the American landmark. The medieval fort of Gandikota is also found at the sight, once famous for being one of the most impenetrable strongholds of its time. Keen explorer Sujit Mallick, from Mumbai, captured the awe-inspiring scene while on a trip to check out the spot after reading about it online.
