Actress Julia Stiles has recalled an uncomfortable experience on set with disgraced director Harvey Weinstein during the filming of the 2000 film 'Down To You.' During a recent appearance on the 'Films To Be Buried With' podcast, Stiles revealed that Weinstein left her feeling "slimy" after forcing her to perform a dance scene. Stiles, who was satisfied with the original script written by Kris Isacsson, was left unhappy with the final result due to Weinstein's intervention. The actress, who appeared regularly in early 2000s rom-coms, told podcast host Brett Goldstein that Weinstein altered the original script for the film. "It was just dumb. ‘Let’s get her on a pool table and have her [dance].’ It wasn’t even imaginative. I felt so slimy doing it the whole time. I don’t know if it made it into the film but It was annoying. Because I was like, Well, this is so cheap, and it’s not adding to the story," explained Stiles. The 72-year-old producer is currently serving a 16-year sentence at Rikers Island and awaiting a retrial for several sexual misconduct and rape charges from 2006 and 2013. Weinstein, who suffers from heart disease and bone marrow cancer, is currently seeking damages from the prison over alleged “deplorable conditions” and “medical negligence.”
