A fire broke out near Cottonwood Heights on Thursday morning, prompting Sandy firefighters to tackle the blaze while United Fire Authority raced to the scene. According to Benjamin Porter, Public Information Officer with the Unified Fire Authority, the firefighters were forced to tackle the blaze from the outside, as heavy smoke and flames were already visible from inside the home.
