Herzog & de Meuron design a cultural landmark for Hong Kong

In advance of the opening of the M+ visual arts museum in Hong Kong, the curators have released a video showing the design process behind the highly anticipated building as part of a series of preview exhibitions showcasing the project. Herzog & de Meuron's design for the future cultural landmark - set to complete in 2017 - is understandably the star attraction and is represented in the show by a series of easy-to-understand floor plans, a specially commissioned building model and this video that successfully creates an enticing spatial experience of their design for the West Kowloon waterfront site. The Swiss architectural firm, in collaboration with TFP Farrells and Ove Arup & Partners HK, won the coveted design project against keen competition last year.
