A grandpa celebrating his 100th birthday had family members bursting with laughter when he flipped the custom t-shirt surprise they had planned on its head. Relatives of George Strausman, from Long Island, New York, have a tradition stemming back a quarter of a century, where they wear clothes stating their relationship to George during his birthday celebrations. Over the years, t-shirt slogans have ranged from "George's Wife" and "George's Granddaughter" to having his name changed to "Jorge" while celebrating in Mexico. It had been several years since the family had been away with George and his wife, Annie, 87, and so they asked if the couple could them on a trip to Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic. With George and Annie's attendance confirmed, the family knew they had to keep up the t-shirt tradition – but George and Annie had other plans. As the family gathered in their t-shirts, waiting for George and Annie to come down to breakfast, they saw the couple arrive in familiar garments. George and Annie were wearing their original t-shirts from George's first ever surprise 25 years earlier, which caused the group to burst into laughter and astonishment.
