A Georgia woman missing for two weeks in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains has been found alive. Tiffany Slaton, 27, of Jeffersonville, was discovered at the Vermilion Valley Resort near Lake Edison, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. The resort owner, checking the property, found her in an unlocked cabin left open in case of emergencies. Slaton was dehydrated but otherwise in good condition and taken to a hospital for observation. Her family had reported her missing after not hearing from her for nine days, prompting a search that spanned 600 square miles. Slaton had been traveling in California after completing a job in Oregon, fulfilling a goal to visit all 50 states.
