2023-02-15 » WYA Intervention - 12th Plenary Meeting - 61st Session Of The Commission For Social Development (CSocD61) - UN Web TV

Wednesday, February 15th, was the last day of the 61st session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development (CSocD61). This year’s theme was “Creating full and productive employment and decent work for all as a way of overcoming inequalities to accelerate the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” WYA delivered an oral statement focusing on the need to invest in human dignity education to build sufficient human capital for workers to thrive at their jobs. WYA’s sister organization, FEMM, also delivered a statement highlighting that the ability to perform one’s best in any area of life, including work, is intrinsically linked to one’s health. It is for this reason women’s endocrine health must no longer be overlooked as we look to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
