Kochi: The LDF poses a great challenge to the UDF as the former has announced their best candidates in mid-Kerala. The decision of KC Venugopal not to contest the election is a major setback for the Congress who are yet to select their candidate for Alappuzha. If the Congress decides to field their sitting MLAs Hibi Eden and Shafi Parambil, they may be fileded from Ernakulam and Palakkad respectively.
