Watch: How Twitter ridiculed Imran Khan for Haqqanis remark, 'No such Pashtun tribe in Afghanistan'

Pakistan PM Imran Khan once again defended Taliban and termed the Haqqanis as a tribal group in Afghanistan. Speaking to CNN, he said the world should give the Taliban more time. Khan said the world should 'incentivise' Taliban on women's rights and inclusive govt. This was Khan's first interview with an international news organisation since the Taliban takeover. Imran Khan’s comments come even as the US is reassessing its ties with Pakistan. US Secy of state Antony Blinken has called Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan ‘duplicitous’. However, during the CNN interview, Imran Khan called Blinken’s comments 'ignorant'. The Pakistan pm also refuted claims of ‘safe havens’ for terrorists in the country.
