A 36-year-old Italian male has been diagnosed with Covid, Monkeypox and HIV at the same time. The man developed a series of symptoms, including fatigue, fever, and a sore throat, nine days after returning from Spain. He first tested positive for Covid on July 2, according to a case study report published in the Journal of Infection. On July 5, the man developed small bumps on his skin and took himself to a hospital in Palermo. The man later returned a positive result for monkeypox and was then screened for multiple STIs. He tested positive for HIV-1, with researchers saying that the infection was most likely recent. "Given his preserved CD4 count, we could assume that the infection was relatively recent," Researchers. The patient recovered from Covid-19 and monkeypox and was discharged from the hospital on July 11 to isolate at home.
