Fetterman goes against party, becomes sole Senate Democrat to vote for DHS funding

Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was the only democrat to vote yes on a full-year funding package for the Department of Homeland Security. In a video posted to his X account, Fetterman explained his vote wasn’t strictly for ICE funding, but for funding other essential areas of DHS like FEMA, the Coast Guard, and the cyber security agency CISA. Fetterman has a history of strongly opposing government shutdowns.
