United in Honor a 9/11 Remembrance

Bruce L. Holmes, an Army veteran and former head coach at the Brown YMCA, is organizing the “United in Honor a 9/11 Remembrance” service at the Edmund Pettus Bridge at 11 a.m. for a powerful time of remembrance, unity and reflection. The event is being held on the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, in which two planes were flown into the World Trade Center’s twin towers, another was flown into the Pentagon and another crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The attacks killed 2,977 people in the worst single attack on American soil in U.S. history.
