A special military honor guard and honorary pallbearers carried Carter's casket out of the cathedral and into a motorcade. Members of the Armed Forces Chorus and the cathedral's choir are singing "Crown Him With Many Crowns" accompanied by the US Marine Orchestra. The casket now makes its final transit back to Georgia, Carter's home state to be buried alongside his wife, Rosalynn, who died Nov. 19, 2023.
