New Delhi: The Goods Services Tax (GST) Ministerial panel has recommended to the GST Council to allow Kerala to levy 1% flood cess, which will be helpful in the rebuilding work. The State may decide on the tax to be levied, its duration and products to be included under the category. Finance Minister Thomas Issac, who is part of the panel, said that the GST Council will consider the recommendations on a meeting to be convened on Thursday.
