Michael Jackson's Kids Blocked From Trust Fund Amid IRS Dispute

Michael Jackson's mother and his three children have been frozen out of their trust fund until an IRS dispute has been settled. According to court documents, Paris, Prince, Bigi and their grandmother cannot receive any money until the dispute is settled. Following an audit, the IRS found that the estate "undervalued its assets" and owed roughly "$700 million in taxes and penalties." The estate disputed this in 2021 and won in court, but it has since filed for a revaluation of Jackson's music catalog. The trust fund cannot be accessed by Jackson's children or their grandmother until the estate's request is finalized.  The late popstar's mother, Katherine Jackson, has received over $55 million from the estate since his death in 2009.
