T'puram: Travancore Devaswom Board President A Padmakumar has criticised RSS leader Valsan Thillankeri for ascending 'Padinettampadi’, the sacred 18 steps without 'Irumudikettu’ in the Sabarimala shrine. He said that the customs have already been violated and his mere apology will not change the fact. He also said that TDB member Sankardas has not climbed the holy steps as part of a protest hence it cannot be considered as custom violation. Padmakumar also told Mathrubhumi News that the campaigns led by Sangh Parivar which urges the devotees not to give offerings in the temple will destroy the temples and the families of the temple employees.
