Tour De Rock Stops In Saanich

Toque firmly planted on her now buzzed head, a St. Margaret’s third-grader is ready for winter, the student raised $8,660 for Tour de Rock and had her head shaved in front of chanting classmates Thursday. St. Margaret’s School in Saanich was just one of many stops Tour de Rock riders made in the two-week trek, engaging with residents at Island schools, businesses and community events on their journey to raise funds to support children affected by cancer and their families. Alongside the massive influx of cash to the cause, the young girl's locks will go to make wigs for kids facing cancer treatment.
