WOMAN'S VIRAL SPIDER BITE SENDS HER TO THE HOSPITAL WITH VID AND PIX BY SHANNON PICKETT This mum has shared how her fear grew as a harmless spider bite quickly turned into her worst nightmare. What started as a small bite turned into a medical horror for 29-year-old Taylor Devaprasad, from Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, USA, and now her gruesome spider bite story has captivated the internet, racking up a jaw-dropping 21 million views on TikTok. In a now-viral post, Taylor documented the terrifying transformation of her leg after being bitten by what she describes as an ordinary house spider. The video, which includes photos of the rapidly swelling and reddening wound, tracks her journey from discomfort to full-blown medical crisis. She said: “I was bitten by a spider, and it shows the progression of the bite. “One Urgent Care trip, two trips to the ER, four days in the hospital, and seven different kinds of antibiotics. "Just your reminder to not let the spider live next time you see one in your house.” Taylor told how her ordeal started innocently enough but quickly spiralled into a harrowing battle with cellulitis, a potentially life-threatening skin infection. The footage shows the angry red blotch on her leg ballooning in size and severity over the course of just a few days. Despite what many assume, this wasn’t the work of a deadly recluse or black widow, she describes it as just a normal spider. Taylor claims that doctors told her she could’ve lost her leg, or even her life, if she hadn’t sought treatment when she did. Now back home and recovering, Taylor says the experience has changed her for good. She said: “This pain is next level. “Photos at the end are the progression from Friday to Tuesday. “This was not a recluse. Not a wolf spider. Not a black widow. This was just a normal-looking house spider. “Before all you spider apologists come at me and say, ‘they're so beneficial’ - listen to me for a second. Any spider bite can turn into cellulitis, which could lead you to this. “I had a fever. I had chills. I was nauseous. I felt like I had the flu times a thousand. I thought my leg was going to burst. “They can be out in the wilderness of Pennsylvania, but I will never allow spiders within my house again. “This was the worst pain I have ever experienced.” ENDS
