This footage shows a Russian tank fleeing while on fire after it is targeted by Ukrainian forces. The images show an area of the battlefield that appears to be a field lined with some trees in which some Russian troops can be seen. The area is targeted by Ukrainian artillery, with the tank then emerging damaged from the tree line and attempting to flee. But the area is again targeted by the artillery and the tank was reportedly destroyed. The images were obtained from the 30th Prince Konstanty Ostrogski Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian ground forces, also known as the 30th Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Konstanty Ostrogski, on Saturday, 10th September along with a statement saying: "Anti-tank gunners of 30th Mechanized Brigade fried an enemy tank." The images and statement were relayed by Operational Command 'North', the Office of Strategic Communications (StratCom) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Joint Forces Task Force, and the Ukrainian Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security. Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February in what the Kremlin is still calling a "special military operation". Today marks the 202nd day of the war. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February and 12th September, Russia had lost about 53,300 personnel, 2,175 tanks, 4,662 armoured combat vehicles, 1,279 artillery units, 311 multiple launch rocket systems, 165 air defence systems, 244 warplanes, 213 helicopters, 904 drones, 233 cruise missiles, 15 warships, 3,469 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 117 units of special equipment. Russia has claimed that its casualties have been much lower but provides infrequent updates on its latest figures. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his country’s troops have recaptured 6,000 square kilometres (2,400 square miles) from the Russian invaders in the south and the east of the country. Ukrainian forces have reportedly pushed the Russians back to the border in the Kharkiv Oblast region and have recaptured the city of Izium. Russian military leaders have reportedly stopped sending new troops into Ukraine following the country’s counteroffensive. Russian troops have also reportedly left behind vast amounts of ammunition and other equipment in the Kharkiv Oblast region. The Ukrainian authorities have said that they are capturing so many Russian POWs that they are quickly running out of places to put them. A spokesperson for Ukrainian military intelligence, Andrey Yusov, said that a “significant” number of these captured Russian troops include officers. Municipal deputies from 18 of Moscow’s and Saint Petersburg’s districts have publicly called for Vladimir Putin to resign. Their signed, public statement, published by Ksenia Torstrem, the municipal deputy of the Semenovsky district in St Petersburg, read in part: “We, the municipal deputies of Russia, believe that the actions of President Vladimir Putin harm the future of Russia and its citizens.” It also said: “Deputies are not yet forbidden to have an opinion. And it is also not forbidden to speak for the resignation of the president. He is not a monarch, but a hired worker, receives a salary from our taxes.”
