Shortly after the 2021-22 women's hockey season ended, St. Cloud State head coach Steve Macdonald was fired on March 16 . New head coach Brian Idalski did not have his first day on the job until June 2. Associate head coach Jinelle Siergiej and assistant coach Molly Engstrom were in charge of keeping the recruits, current players together and with working in the transfer portal to find some new players until Idalski was hired. Then Engstrom left to be the head coach at the University of Maine and Siergiej went to work with Idalski to find a new assistant coach. There's been a lot of change and Siergiej discusses the process, discusses the new playing style for the Huskies and gives a scouting report on the eight new players on the roster.
